Update

Hi everybody well at the end of this month will be 8 months since transplant and everyone is amazed at how great i am doing All my counts have been normal since 6 months and are staying strong and my platelets keep going up i believe they were 179,000 2 weeks ago yay!!! The GVH i had on my face is clearing and except for a few red spots on my legs that i put protopic on my skin looks fine. The Dr’s put me on 5 mil of prednizone every other day now and to think i was on 200 mil when i left the hospital this is great the only thing i have found tho is the way i feel is affected i seem to feel better the days i take the zone then the days i don’t i feel lethargic on the days i don’t but my body is adjusting to it hopefully i’ll be off completely real soon 4 months will be 1 year then all restrictions are off i believe but i think they will give me a few things to be aware of as my immune system continues to develop. I was waiting for the great weather to arrive and when it did they told me to stay out of the sun lol i guess if you have radiation you have to be careful so it’s spf 50 sunscreen and hats for the summer and look for the shade. I’m not complaining at all believe me everyone thats had a bad disease thats been treated and they have survived will tell you they are glad to be here and appreciate things just a little more than they used to. I get tested tommorrow for cholesteral and iron build up in my liver now that they know my marrow is producing with no problem they say i can donate a pint of blood every 2 weeks (which is thrown away) to rid my liver of iron. I had 2 pints of blood every 2 weeks for a long time before transplant and that builds up iron in your liver which can be unhealthy for it and other organs so i look forward to getting it lowered i imagine it will be high i’ll let you know lol.
